Still going nothing outlasts.....

Hello Internet Fans & Friends!

It's been an interesting and very long week.  I'm happy to say it was the last week that we will be short staffed.  A new guys starts this Monday and if all goes well another one starts next Monday.  Woot!  Happiness, now I've just got to train them.  I hope they are quick to learn but not so smart they outshine me.

I have been working hard trying to crank out as much work as possible.  Of course, the best laid plans always seem to go awry.  We had some catastrophes that requires my immediate attention and even for me to stay late one night.  Thankfully, it wasn't too terribly late.

The car is still going.  Smelling new and behaving.  I've had some close calls.  First, the dealership called last week and asked me to stop back by, they claimed to have forgotten me to sign a piece of paper.  That was a red flag something was wrong.  I stopped by and turns out they messed up the contract.  They had me putting more down than I did.  So my payments go up a couple dollars and I had to sign a new contract.  I wasn't exactly pleased as punch but Shit happens.  Then the next day we had the mirror issue.  Turns out I can't have my old mirror because it won't fit in my new car, there simply isn't enough room.  I found that out after I ordered a replacement mirror.  The dealer and I had some disagreements on my old mirror so I had to leave it behind.  Now I'm out $65 and have a mirror stuck in a box that I can't use.  However, someday I'll need it and it will be here.  It was a nightmare trying to get my original factory mirror back on, but by dumb luck or more appropriately the grace of God I got it back on.

Last night we both needed to get the hell out of here.  The 4 walls were closing in on us.  So I called my mom and asked if I could come by.  Not telling her a thing.  We drove down and I came up to the door, she said come on in.  I said nah, come outside.  When she came out she was like a new car.  Yep, ding ding it clicked!  So I took her for a ride she really likes it.  My partner kept talking it up and telling me how much he liked it.  Yeah, I get the picture everyone thinks it's pretty and they like it.  Great!  I'm satisfied with it, but I wouldn't say 100% happy.  I sit way to freakin low to the ground, I'm starting to get used to it but it's taking a little bit of time.

We went out for supper last night to Boston Market.  I ordered a whole Chicken Salad Sandwich.  I was just a surprised as everyone else that came out of my mouth.  Needless to say I left that place hungry for way more food but never gave in, that made me feel a little good inside.

I've started the usual weekend chores.  This morning I was up until 3.  Slept for an hour then had to let the outside cat inside.  Then it was back to bed.  Wow, what a night.

I've become addicted to Malcolm In The Middle.  Those kids are so cute and the show is so very funny.  I don't know how I missed this when it was in prime time.

Ah, yes finally I've got my new boots.  They are super comfortable.  It takes a little getting used to but once I put them on after a few steps, I forget I'm wearing them.  Now that's what I call money well spent.

Speaking of which my car insurance bill came, it went up by $51. every 6 months.  Not to terribly bad.  I didn't expect that much of an increase but it's better than $100.

Now I'm waiting for my VIN Etching kit to come in from Canada.  Then I've got to get a chrome exhaust tip, window deflectors and maybe a bug shield.  It's hard to find any accessories for a 2010 model but eventually it will happen.  The dealer can get me what I want but suggested I go to a retail auto parts store, because it would be cheaper.  My preference is to buy from the manufacturer but since were talking about money I guess it wouldn't kill me to save a few dollars!

It's off to finish up my evening and prepare for tomorrow.  I'm a little nervous but also way excited.  I've been looking forward to quality help for a very long time.  I hope this time we got it right!

Have a super week, enjoy the guy candy and don't drool too much.  Talk with you all again soon!  Thanks as always for stopping by.
